Welcome

Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy.

SUPPORT – EDUCATION – ADVOCACY

We provide SUPPORT in a confidential setting at our monthly meetings. One of our primary objectives is to maintain families in loving relationships. We challenge any concept of traditional family values that excludes our LGBTQ loved ones. We further aim to promote the understanding of LGBTQ people as healthy, normal, responsible, productive, loving and caring human beings.

We EDUCATE our community to promote greater acceptance and respect for LGBTQ persons.

We ADVOCATE in a grassroots fashion for equal rights – not special rights – for our relatives and friends.

Your confidentiality is assured.

Monthly Support Meetings

We meet the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m in The New Room of Sedona United Methodist Church (110 Indian Cliffs Road, Sedona) and on Zoom. A map is attached below.

Upcoming Meeting

Please join us for our monthly PFLAG Sedona/Verde Valley Education and Support Meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in The New Room of Sedona United Methodist Church (110 Indian Cliffs Road, Sedona) and on Zoom.

Our featured speaker will be Jen Myhre. Jen is 54, genderqueer, and sometimes identifies semi-jokingly as a “bisexual art nun.” Jen is a former sociologist, teacher and community organizer and a current artist and owner of More Art Less Fear. In her talk, she/they will share some of the lessons they have learned from over three decades as an activist and organizer for racial justice as well as her general orneriness for gender and economic justice. She has a lot of experience in organizing allies with privilege for collective liberation and thinks PFLAG can be a joyful and effective fighting force in the Verde Valley in addition to a source of support and nourishment. Jen serves as a current member of the PFLAG Sedona/Verde Valley chapter Board of Directors.

Both the presentation at 6:30 and the support meeting at 7:30 will use the following connection information:
